It teaches pilots how to prepare safe, efficient, and legal flights by evaluating operational factors and anticipating conditions that may affect the journey.<\/p>\n<p>Flight Planning equips pilots with the knowledge and practical skills required to prepare safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant flight plans. Key topics include Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP), fuel policy and monitoring, nautical air miles, and flight planning for single-engine piston aeroplanes, multi-engine piston aeroplanes, and medium-range jet transport (MRJT) aircraft. The course covers both simplified and detailed flight planning (MRJT), including the use of en-route climb tables, cruise and integrated range tables, and descent tables for performance-based planning. Students also learn additional flight planning procedures, the use of topographical charts, airway navigation, airway charts, and the preparation of an Air Traffic Control (ATC) flight plan.
